FCPA Philip Muema is the Managing Partner at Andersen in Kenya (formerly Nexus Business Advisory Limited). Philip is the regional head of Andersen in Eastern Africa, which has a presence in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Andersen in East Africa and through its global member firms spread across the world offers tax, legal, business and consulting services.

Philip has experience in tax advisory, business advisory, commercial strategy and structuring. With more than 26 years experience, he has particular expertise and unique experience in supporting clients across all sectors of the economy. He has advised publicly traded companies, private ones including family owned enterprises and local and foreign investors and investors on tax structuring, tax planning, wealth planning, tax strategy amongst others.

Philip has built an enviable reputation in the tax and business advisory space and has engaged the Treasury, the National Assembly and the Kenya Revenue Authority on tax matters with a focus on international best practice. His leadership, dedication and contributions in the tax and accounting profession led to his admission to ICPAK’s College of Fellows in 2016.

Phillip is a graduate of the Advanced Management programme at IESE Business School and Strathmore Business School and is a holder of a Master of Business in Administration and BSc Finance, both from USIU-Africa.
