In a nutshell, Georgina provides hair loss and hair enhancement solutions for women.
The Communications and Development Studies graduate established a hair business after seven years of working in a similar industry as a sales representative.
She says the most rewarding aspect of her job is making women “feel confident, happy and ready to take on the world,” after a makeover using her haircare products.
“Sometimes, hair loss can really affect a woman’s self-esteem as her hair is her crowning glory,” she says.
"Sometimes, hair loss can really affect a woman’s self-esteem as her hair is her crowning glory,"
Georgina saw a gap in the Kenyan hair care beauty industry when she worked as a sales representative for LVMH.
She started small, with less than Sh10,000 and she has grown the company to the league of Top 100 SMEs in Kenya.
“I saw a need for a luxurious experience to match the product with well-trained staff,” she says.
In the beginning, Georgina wanted to be a teacher. Today, she offers free training services on a quarterly basis for promising, disadvantaged young women and men. What are the challenges she faces?
“Criticism,” she says.
And what gives her the strength to keep going?
“Every day is a learning lesson; everyday makes me better at my job.”
